From LooseyLucy's News:
Jon Dowling's Trials and Tribulations is a beautifully arranged collection of pop rock piano songs. The album starts strong with the powerful, Bruce Hornsby-influenced single, "Out of the Dark." "Here to Stay" has soulful lead and background vocals with an amazing piano solo by Philippe Saisse. The energetic, "The Second Time Around," and the slower paced, "All Things Considered," are great pop rock tunes with catchy melodies. The introspective, "Reason for the Season," is sewn together with thoughtful lyrics and a memorable piano hook. Lyrically, Jon Dowling is not your typical pop rocker. He tackles lifes problems with meaningful themes. "Proud Worker" is a tribute to all of the hard-working people of America. "Highway in My Mind" is empowering, and "The Likes of You," with its driving beat, is a song about people that put other people down and what to do to overcome the hurt. Jon does also have his lighter side. "Stress Sandwich" will have you dancing your cares away. Overall, excellent album!!!-
